Classification of road and urban objects, road inventory

LIS Road Modeller provides specialised tools for extracting road and urban infrastructure from high-density point cloud data, particularly mobile and terrestrial laser scanning datasets (MLS/TLS). The extension classifies structures such as ground surfaces, walls, roofs, vertical and horizontal poles and other roadside objects, with additional methods for distinguishing objects such as poles and trees. Typical applications include creating road inventories from mobile mapping surveys, identifying poles and other roadside assets, extracting urban objects for GIS databases, preparing classified point clouds for 3D city and infrastructure models, and supporting municipal asset management and spatial planning.
